The giggles on her lips
Insecurities drive people. It's sort of bad, cruel but still true. It’s the insecurity of being left out that we try hard to be included. The insecurity of winter that we prepare with warm clothes, insecurity of dying of hunger that men fight every day to win bread, and the insecurity of not being loved that we seek likability from others.
Won’t you agree with it?
The world’s a weird place, that’s true. People spend their lives coming over their insecurities by getting more entangled in them. Will a better pay really going to cure that underlying will of winning the world?
So it ain’t no use in callin’ out my name, gal
Like you never done before
And it ain’t no use in callin’ out my name, gal
I can’t hear you anymore
This is what enlightenment is all about. People become happy with their achievements, I have found. Smart people build businesses and do great work at their jobs, beautiful people go out and do miracles based on their beauty, rich people aim to become richer and a restaurant owner aims for higher sales next quarter. All these people become happy by achieving more. When the achievements come to a halt, the source of ecstasy comes to a halt. And this is true for everyone except for a few maybe. People are different after all. For example, one of my friends became more comfortable with me by not talking to me for 8 months. She might even be reading this right now 😂😂. Maybe I am boring.🤔 Naah! But that’s certainly different.
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I’ll be gone
Back to the point. How many times have we heard this, “He for whom happiness, sadness, joy, laughter, tears, everything is the same, he is the one who is enlightened.”. You must have heard different versions of it in Hindi, but the point remains the same.
And how can someone who has insecurity as motivation become and do something great? All of his efforts will be spent in overcoming that insecurity and not really doing great stuff. There are many ways, I guess, I haven’t figured for sure.
Knowing oneself is important. What are your insecurities? What drives you and what makes you desperate?
And to think of how she left that night
It still brings me a chill
Only by accepting who we are, can we get what we want. Knowing oneself opens doors for us to improve upon the points we don’t like. For an instance, I don’t like to be the third wheel. That’s just something I just don’t like and probably no one else does. What can we do to help us overcome that feeling and not feel desperate, or crave attention? For starters, you can avoid being in such a situation where you are the third wheel. In the main course, you can find out why you don’t like what you don’t like and in the deserts, you can figure out whether you want to live with it by changing your perception or you wanna just cut that crap out.
I gave her my heart but she wanted my soul
What is important is that we understand that our actions are not driven by insecurities but pure motivations. I prepare for a job because I had like to be in that job and would want to pursue it for my life, not because I want to fit myself somewhere. I propose a girl because I love her, and her giggles, not because I just want a girl, in that case, I have a bunch of them. I exercise, because I want to stay fit and sane, not because I want to avoid being called fat. Understand the difference!
What are your insecurities?
What are you doing to overcome them?
Questions for your weekend! Happy Friday.
Now there’s a wall between us, somethin’ there’s been lost
I took too much for granted, I got my signals crossed
